Select when a mechanical device (trailer with power lift gate) is required to perform loading. Generally, a lift gate will be required at the loading site when no dock, platform or ramp is directly accessible to ABF's vehicle and any single piece in the shipment weighs more than 200 pounds, exceeds 8 feet in any dimension or exceeds 4 feet in each of any two dimensions. In some cases, a lift gate may be required for pieces lighter and smaller than described herein.
